Marco Delogu has always embarked on projects focused on groups of people who have experiences or idioms in common, and in doing so has always drawn inspiration from his own life.  Born in Rome in 1960, his work has focused on Italy, Italians and Italian society. From the Vatican, to Rebibbia Prison in Rome, Migrant workers to the culture of Italian horse racing,  Delogu exhibits passion for his country, its people and their culture, both historical land contemporary.

Delogu has published over twenty books on his photography and has been widely exhibited. His recent exhibitions: Accademia di Francia, Villa Medici, Rome; Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome; the Warburg Institute, London; the Henry Moore Foundation, Leeds; IRCAM, Centre George Pompidou, Paris; the Museé de l'Elysee, Lausanne; PhotoMuseum, Moscow; Musei Capitolini, Rome.

Delogu is also a publisher and exhibition curator. In 2002 he founded the FotoGrafia, the international festival of photography in Rome, of which he remains the artistic director. In 2003 he founded the publishing house, Punctum which publishes artists monographs.
